Dimensional Purview;Shifting the Paradigm

When was the last time you supported a cause bigger than yourself? Where the only thing you had to lose was the tremendous gain experienced and felt through strengthening community. For many, standing “with”; in solidarity is a learning curve; an intangible responsibility without a true commitment to shifting complacent thinking and heedless action. Oftentimes people are grappling with the predisposed mentality of surviving; a mindset that reproduces division. Support has become a chore and self-interest is the conspirator of the hate and violence continuously flooding our communities. No more!

Hundreds of people are dying, thousands are injured quite literally, metaphorically too, and harmed by systems of governance; semantics of law rooted in anti-racism, autonomy, and freedom together with safety and millions are suffering as they scramble for peace and reform day in and day out.

Globally, there’s an epidemic of hate, crime, and violence; a perpetuation of exploitation and inhumane practices and behavior. Humans are demanding a radical overhaul, a shift in the paradigm. Something has to change because for years, regardless of your settlement with respect to geographical location, people have suffered and continue to suffer from senseless violent acts of injustice.

On October 10th, 2023 Gaza experienced a devastating assault sanctioned by the Israeli military killing hundreds of people after urging millions of Palestinians to flee there for their safety. Today and indefinitely, my heart aches for the Palestinians. To have malicious and ill-intent individuals take lives by indiscriminately bombing women and children and destroying the land of residents is truly heartbreaking. The continued efforts to remove people from their land are being met with resistance. For some Palestinians, the honor is in dying on their land.

Dozens of people rallied in Northeast Fresno in support of Palestinians on Saturday, October 14th. To see the community show up the way it did as a response to the incredibly shattering and cataclysmic news dispensed hope. This is not a matter of choice, it is every single person’s duty to stand In solidarity with Palestinians as they continue to fight to survive without electricity, internet, or access to water. It is our duty to extend our love and support, as families grieve the loss of loved ones. We are not above a mass genocide; if they come for one of us, they’ll come for all of us. The intersectionality of solidarity and transformation is the blueprint for a nation’s surrogacy. Liberation for all is resistance coupled with protest and solidarity. Undoubtedly, this genocide will haunt and carry on as a memory for the nation. This bloodbath will remain a part of us forever. We stand with Palestinians to honor our commitment to engineering black liberation and ceasing the cycle of abuse, trauma, and violence. Today, tomorrow, and forever.
