Amplifying Truth and Harnessing Liberation
The Story of WE
”I would lie awake at night pondering; how I can make a difference. I constantly criticized the existing gaps and flaws and deemed liberation inadmissible in conversations about visibility, dignity, and change, rarely interrogating the truth that currently resides in a remote location; in the souls and minds of the keepers of humanity, power hoarders and the like. One day, I made one of the best decisions of my life; I consulted my partner; the most powerfully brilliant mind of the CD player, playground kickback, and letterman generation. She poured into me while I inspired hope in her and it was in this moment when we decided to stop complaining and take action. We grew weary of feeling that our dignity was tied to everything mandated by the colonizers – from daily routines to societal norms”
Cultured Seeds Inc. was born from the desire to address generational trauma, the neglect of black liberation, the lack of emphasis on mental health, and the enduring impacts of racism. Many view mental health as a passing trend, racism as a thing of the past, black liberation as inconsequential, and trauma as a mere excuse. We aim to shed light on the evident disparities within our communities. Our approach is rooted in intersectionality, addressing the challenges faced by marginalized communities through a holistic lens to drive policy change and system transformation.
